Here's a castle cake we recently made. The client wanted us to make sure that the name "Farishta" was prominently displayed on the bottom tier. The bottom tier was what could be considered a half tier, since it's not the height of a "normal" tier. The flavor of the cakes were our popular vanilla butter cake, and the client decided to go with different fillings for each of the tiers. From top to bottom, the fillings were cookies and cream, mocha buttercream, white chocolate mousse (good choice!), and vanilla meringue buttercream, respectively. Additionally, adorned on the tiers were soft pink butterflies.  Each turret or tower has lavender conical roofs. As the NFC Championship game approaches tomorrow, our client decided to have a NY Giants helmet cake as a 30th birthday cake. What a perfect cake for a G-Men fan! I just got contacted by a casting agent regarding a new TLC show! They are casting for women between the age of 17 to 40, for a "fashion-y makeover show". They are "seeking women in the TRi-state area (or those who will be willing to travel to NYC in February/March 2012) to appear on a new Major Cable Network show from BBC Worldwide that will help women embrace their curves and look their best inside and out. Here's a wedding cake we did this week.  It's a fairly large cake, enough to feed 125 people.  The main focal point is obviously the cascade of sugar flowers, which has red roses, red orchids, and white stephanotis fillers.  The gold piping is royal icing, with some edible gold powder to give it that reflective luxurious quality. [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="450" caption="Red Orchids and Roses Wedding Cake With Gold Accents"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_332" align="aligncenter" width="450" caption="Red Orchids Wedding Cake Delivered to Suffolk County Long Island"][/caption] The wedding cake also featured something for everyone in terms of the fillings and flavors.  Each tier was different, with the top tier being vanilla cake with raspberry meringue buttercream, the next being chocolate cake with chocolate hazelnut mousse, lemon cake with lemon meringue buttercream, and almond cake with mocha buttercream.  Delicious! The wedding cake was delivered to Marriott Islandia in Suffolk County Long Island.  We deliver anywhere in Long Island, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, as well as Westchester NY and New Jersey.
