Creating a cake replica of a NYC Cathedral was a fascinating and challenging experience for our cake experts. St. Patrick's Cathedral is an iconic landmark, known and recognized around the world. This beautiful Cathedral is located on the east side of Fifth Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets in Midtown Manhattan, facing the Atlas statue. It is considered one of the most visible symbols of Roman Catholicism in both New York City and in the United States.

For this austere event, we set to work to make a perfect replica of the church with its neo-gothic style, towering spires and beautiful stained glass windows. The Cathedral stood on a white base and was covered predominantly with an ivory-shade fondant. Details were meticulously added and included decorations on the walls and tiny details such as crosses, window frames and doors. The stained glass windows were blue and embellished with gold, as if reflecting the setting sun.

To honor the occasion, a black banner was placed on the base with the words ‘ God Bless Joseph Peter’ in bold white letters. The American flag and the Irish flag, blowing in the breeze, stood on either side of the main doors.
