This 4 tier wedding cake is a classic and elegant design. Covered in a very light ivory fondant, the cake is clean and precisely what some brides are looking for. The top and third tier has a quilt design, that in this case is subtle rather than very pronounced. At each intersection of the quilt, there are sugar diamonds which ARE edible. Interestingly, the second and fourth tiers from the top are completely clean, with no embellishment at all. This works perfectly for this design, balancing the detail in the other tiers, as well as acting as a counterbalance to the topper and butterfly accents. The butterfly accents are on one side of each tier. They are purple with black detail, and are meant to be subtle yet elegant. The topper on the cake are ivory gum paste orchids, with deeper ivory centers. At the bottom of each tier is an ivory fondant bead border.
